The African Blackwood muddler in the center is made from the species of wood - Dalbergia Melanoxion. Its deep black color and subtle grain pattern make this a particularly beautiful tool. It is extremely hard (3670 on Janka scale) and so dense it sinks in water. It grows in central and eastern Africa. Our wood supplier deals only with growers with an active concern for the conservation of the tree.
